Hi everyone, I'm looking for a mom whose sons initials are GM. My son is roommates with him. They will graduate March 28th.

Bubweena - 13 weeks training IS new and they will be beginning it in April - at least that is what is being told.  They feel that 7 weeks of training is just not enough. So, the week by week that is above, for the most part, is pretty accurate.  As with anything with the government, you have to give them time.  The 13 weeks was discussed with my son's class already - although it doesn't effect him or the next few classes, it is something in the works.

Where is the 13 weeks of training coming from that everyone is asking about. Mu son was in holding for 2 weeks but started on Feb 10th with a graduation date of March 28th. Am I missing something? Is that maybe for PRP MA's?

NavyMomx2NavyWife. Training is only 7 weeks once they phase up. Please read above the week by week schedule. It is an older version but most of it still stands. One big change happening right now is that they have cut all off base privileges because a couple of senior recruits got in trouble. This of course ruins it for everyone. It also states that the recruits find out their duty stations in week 3 or 4. My son finds his out tomorrow and he just started a week ago. He has already had his PRT on the first day, then had a written test on Friday and his OCD (pepper) spray on Friday as well. So there are some differences. Make sure you send with him Johnson's Baby Shampoo and Dawn Dish Soap in 4oz containers that he can put in his backpack at the airport. Plus my son wanted his underwear. Usually they have space for this in their black back packs and of course most importantly, their cell phones. They talk about once they get there, sending them civilian clothes. I don't think they will make it to phase 3 anymore so they probably won't get a chance to wear them. In my son's case I'm not sure what I would send considering he has lost 20 l s since he left home.. I hope this helps.

The scuttlebutt I heard was they share bathrooms with others in the opposite rooms they aren't allowed in others rooms, supposedly the opposite room had got sick of getting locked out of their bathroom, so they broke in and then trashed the room. One of them came in to find them doing it. So, there were several options that could have happened since they are MA's in training and in the outside world they would be the ones dealing with that. They did lose their phase up, I imagine that it showed the consequences of such behavior on all. The ones caught also implied others had been going in rooms. The ones who did it were getting ready to graduate. The ones just out of Bootcamp would be too scared.

What are the "privileges" they will lose? My son just arrived on Saturday.
