Bubweena, blue candles are for any time you are thinking of your Sailor. See Blue Candles.
PRP stands for "Personnel Reliability Program" not "Personal Reliability Program." There is a little info on it within the discussion, Break down week by week.
INDOC is short for Indoctrination and is instruction related to a school, command, or rate. Each time your Sailor goes to a new command or advances in rate, s/he will have some sort of INDOC to be sure that s/he is aware of how things work and the expectations that will be placed on him/her. INDOC at "A" School always includes some sort of test to be sure that the Sailor understands the expectations. At some commands INDOC mainly involves the Sailor receiving some forms outlining the rules and assigning him/her a person to ask questions of and then the Sailor has to sign a form indicating that s/he has been advised of and understands what will be expected of him/her at the command.
You can go to https://shop.aafes.com/scs/default.aspx to get a "NEX" gift card. Since the "NEX" cards are issued by AAFES now, they are good on all Exchanges worldwide except for Coast Guard Exchanges and our Sailors aren't stationed on Coast Guard bases.
As far as meals, Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) gives info on the "meal allowance" that your Sailor receives. In BC the BAS was paid directly to the RTC and was not entered on the LES. At some Schools/commands, that amount shows up in the LES and then is deducted and paid to the galley even if the Sailor seldom or never eats there and I think that is the case at Lackland. It is important to know that because the Sailor will be paying for food s/he never eats if s/he eats at other places frequently. (There are other links on that site that you may want to check out as well.)
