OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

How I choose to react is my fault, not yours, and I chose to react by being hurt, rather than just letting it pass. You both chose to react to my comments by thinking the worst of me and I took offense.....

I meant no harm in my posts. Right now, you two have me in tears, so I perhaps we all need to take a step back and take a deep breath and realize that we are here for each other.

Brysmom, No, I did not know what you were referring to.

Question

My SR PIR 13th, then the SA for MA school. I have read in some forums that we should pack vision, dawn dish soap and baby shampoo(small bottles) for when they get sprayed?????

NavyMAMom, 8 weeks is the average time at Lackland. If there are no problems, the Sailor's time at Lackland can be as short as 7 weeks if your Sailor classes up immediately or as long as 10 weeks if there is a large group arriving, but HOLD times have been 1 or 2 weeks lately. Most have only accrued 10 days of Leave after completing "A" School (2.5 days per month of service). See Break down week by week.
