Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

@snowmanmom, when is your SRs PIR? My son graduated yesterday & flew to MA school today. He's scheduled to begin training on 1/14.

HI! I am getting ready to go to GL is there anything that I really need to take to my RC to bring with him to A school, I know I will be mailing alot.  I am going to do my best to go to the airport to see him and give him cell phone and some of the items he asked for.  Any help woudl be appreciate.  THANKS

proudmama, The available billets are based on the needs of the Navy and those can even change while in "A" School.  They sometimes tell them at the beginning the most likely places, but when the time to get the assignments comes, they may not be the same. Encourage her to do her best on the tests for when the billets are offered, the Sailors get to pick in order of their scores up to that point in "A" School, from highest to lowest until the choice is gone.

Hi I'm new here- My  daughter should be going to San Ant in May... noticing alot of the graduated MA's are shipped overseas- how does this all work..

Our SR has been in holding since Dec 03.  He is home for the holidays and will start school Jan 07 with a new group.  Looking forward to his next big adventure.

SR said the AFB is awesome and so many more freedoms.  Good to know

My son is graduating from A school today. We couldn't be there but we are so excited to meet him at the airport tomorrow night. We love our sailor!
