mercedesmom, I have updated it several times over the years and believe that it is still accurate.  I ask that people post when corrections are needed and when they do, I do make the changes.

Hi, I'm new to this site. My son is headed to Lackland and is set to graduate the end of September. I noticed the break down week by week of what they do there was posted in Aug. of 2009. Is the information still true to what they will be doing today?

Laurie, I'm glad it worked out.  Sometimes there are flight availability issues that cause that to happen.

Well, it turns out everything worked out.  My sailor received his travel itinerary (flights) the day after everyone else but all is well now.  Quite the scare.  Phew......  Congratulations to all the sailors being pinned today !

Hi All, my sailor is graduating MA school this Friday.  He called and said everyone received their plane tickets today but him.  Not really sure why - possible clerical error???  He said if he doesn't get them by 1600 tomorrow there is a possibility he won't be able to take Leave and will go straight to his next station.  Has anyone heard of this before?  My heart is sinking for him as he was so looking forward to seeing his family after working so hard these last 5-6 months.  Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you..

We shoved as many people in our van as we could to get them in. Each vehicle has to have a pass, or that's what I understood. Oh and each person in the vehicle has to give the driver their drivers license to let the MP look at it. And that is each time you go into the facility.

But that doesn't get other family members in. Do they not give you a pass code for getting in?

Have your sailor meet you at the gate to get your pass for the duration of your stay. It made life easier for us back in Mid-May. Enjoy! Congratulations on your sailor's achievement!
