Hi All...So my son is now in SA for MA school.  Does anyone know if a laptop is needed?  He does not have one.  I thought he should buy an IPAD instead, but I really don't know.  And how does the wi-fi work there?  I would imagine he would need to pay for that.  Any info would be great.  Thanks!

I don't remember Chris saying he was notified, I think it's up to the individual to check. Lemonelephant - any thoughts?!

Hi All! I had a question in regards to mailing a package. I used a flat rate box, and mailed my care package on Thursday. Now the package itself was delivered to Lackland AFB on Sat.( delivery confirmation) but I was wondering how long it takes our sailors to be notified that they have a package?

NWmom, I'm sorry that his new duty station after finishing A School will be back there.  At least he will know the area.

And we're back to Coronado. He failed a second phase evolution and just left BUD/s and now he will be stationed there. This will be peculiar.

Anytime before the Sailor starts leave, have him call his recruiter and ask about it.  He will have to make sure that the recruiter signs the paperwork for him to take with him to his next duty station and then he will get credit for up to 5 days of non-chargeable leave.

Hi everyone!   Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July :-)    Question for anyone that might be able to answer:  during what week (while at A School) would it be recommended that a sailor start looking into and/or requesting RAP Duty/Leave?   Any insight would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Momship - the ceremony is very personal & informal. Took about 30 or leas minutes. There were several families in attendance. There was a presentation of their certificates. There was a graduation photo of the group taken & many grads had copies for themselves & others. We didn't get a kennel tour, which I soooo wanted! The grads were turned loose afterward! Chris headed back to the sand the next day.
