Hair cut/colored, nails done (NAVY blue tips with gold stripe), vehicle washed, last minute laundry working, Checking lists, yes plural, lists! Packing. Leaving at zero-dark-thirty & on the road to TX & MWD Handler graduation. Haven't had eyes on Chris in a year, he won't Skype, can't wait to get, pardon the pun, our paws on him!!!

Thanks, one & all, for support, hints, laughs & tears. Y'all are great. Here's hoping all goes as planned...

Congrats to the lady shooters! There is no range on Chris's base, so he has loved all the amenities Lackland has offered. He may take up competitive shooting!

How did your daughter do at the shooting range?  My daughter said one girl got an almost perfect score with either the pistol or the M16 and she had never shot before. Has your daughter mentioned the storms they've been having?  Sounds like lots of rain yesterday and last night.

my daughter said her graduation is May 8 and that they are starting to get orders. I am waiting to hear what she got.

Hi all, anyone have a SR currently attending GL on Ship 3, Div 176 who has a son/daughter heading to San Antonio after PIR 6/8/2012?  My son will be and so far I've only heard of 1 other (from Div 175) also heading that way.  Let me know if so, I'd love to chat.  Thanks.

Orders typically are given in week 4, but they have been given as early as week 3.  They will know the anticipated graduation date as soon as they Class Up, but it could change.  My Sailor's graduation changed to Thursday in the last week of A School due to a Change of Command that was happening on the Friday when graduation was scheduled.  Graduation could also change for a Sailor if the Sailor does not pass a test and is placed in another class.

My daughter also said her graduation was June 8th if they pass everything.  I thought I read somewhere that you can't be sure of the graduation date until a couple of weeks before in case they don't pass everything.  She also said next week they have some Administration days so they might find out more then.

does anybody know how soon we will find out about the graduation date or our sailors orders.... I think my daughter said her graduation is on the 8 of June... has anybody else heard this?

My son has been at San Antonio for a week now and he starts his classes today.  He is really excited about starting classes and having his journey begin.  After PIR I realized how focused he is and how much he really wants this.  I am so proud of him.  He says everyone in San Antonio has been really nice and it is so good to be treated like a person again.  LOL.  I guess he said he will have a test next Monday and if he passes then he will get OC sprayed.  All I can say is better him than me.
