My son is on the Comstock as well. Have you heard from your sailor for the past ten days? We have been communicating through FB messenger.
Hey SD Moms ~
My girl is being medically discharged from RTC, unknown condition surfaced while there :(
I have a lot of NAVY fleece that was going to be made into a blanket for her. a 3yd piece, and I think the other is 2 yds? (it was the end of the bolt :)
I may also have red fleece, as well as blue fleece with white stars and white w/ red stripe stars on it. (interest was shown, don't have a firm yes yet from them)
If any of you are interested in it, please let me know.
Thank you!
Hi everyone! My son is in San Diego and is having trouble with a roommate that wont clean his part of the room. They failed inspections today, because of him. What is my son supposed to do if his chain of command isn't helping and the roommate won't do what he is suppose to?
Hi gang - my sailor is now at 'C' school at NBSD and is living in one of the Unaccompanied Housing units. Does the
USPS deliver to the individual BEQs or does he have to make other arrangements to receive mail and packages? TIA
CTmom - I've lived in San Diego for 25 years so I would say that the traffic isn't terrible - but I also remember moving out here from a smaller town in Colorado and being totally intimidated. Traffic isn't LA or NY crazy. I agree - a navigation device does help to make you feel more confident while driving since it will tell you where to go. As to hotel - if you stay close to the base you won't really have many options of things close by to do if your son is tied up. If you stay near the Midway it will be more expensive but you can walk to the Midway museum, Seaport Village which has a ton of shops and places to eat, and you can walk into downtown. You would also be close to the harbor which is a nicer view.
