I would love to hear from any parent or sailor who can give me a little insight into being in the ELT part of Prototype.  My son is currently at the tail end of Prototype and will be starting ELT I think in August.  I know he's very excited about it as we are but I'm curious how this will impact is journey in the Navy as well as his future once in the civilian world?  Thanks in advance for anything ya'll can share with me :)

Probably asked a dozen times, but..

Do any of you know if there is a formal graduation ceremony at Ballston Spa?  If so, is it anything more than just a "grip and grin" thing?  My wife and I are trying to decide if we should travel there for it.  Complicated by the fact we will likely be moving about the time he is done...June 1st we think.

After Graduating PS in October, my son finally reported to BS on 12/16, love having him back in our home state, I got to see him 3 times in the month of December (woo hoo) he is working every day, but as of this weekend still no "class up" date

My son will be graduating from Power School at Goose Creek this December and moving on to Ballston Spa for Prototype School.  Any comments on the school would be appreciated.  Thanks:)

Maybe because he's an MM? Has he had any other holds?

The class that was just sent to BS was also put on hold for 2 months. That's ok with me though! Longer I have with him on land :)

Hi Nick's Mom,

Unfortunately, my son's been held in Goose Creek for 2 more months. I guess they cut the number of nuke's they're sending to NY right now. He was supposed to start prototype in June. Now, I'm not sure when.

Hi Everyone,

My son leaves Goose Creek for Ballston Spa on April 29th. Anyone know of a good place to stop for the night on the way? Driving straight through just sounds like a really bad idea to me. I haven't had the opportunity to do it yet, but it seems like there are so many great places to explore in between South Carolina and New York.

Hi, We are moving there in August for my husbands duty station! Have you guys found a place to live yet? We have been looking but it's really hard when we cant view the area that the home is in. How long will you guys be there?
