My thoughts and prayers are going out to all our Sailors and families who have sailors at the Navy Yard in D.C. This is just crazy that this kind of violence happens on our bases at home!
Karen, I'm glad to hear your son passed the 1st. test. How many are there in that block? I've heard that blocks 6 and 7 are harder.
Thank you, ladies, very much for your prayers! At this time, he is not supposed to get a new roommate. Karen, did your son get a new roommate when his was so badly injured and had to leave?
Lighthouse3, Your son will be in my prayers as he continues on. Thank goodness his knee has healed!
Lighthouse3: I am so happy to hear your son's knee has healed! Does he pick up at the beginning of pole climbing? He and his fellow sailors will definitely be in my prayers for those 2 1/2 weeks as I know first hand how hard they can be!
I want to thank all of you who have been praying for our son in his journey in the Navy and especially for the knee he injured (hyperextended) climbing a utility pole eight weeks ago. The wonderful news is that he has been cleared by the doctor to resume his Construction Electrician training on September 26. We are very thankful to the Lord that his knee has recovered sufficient strength to continue, and that he is able to run some, although slowly. He will resume in the same “block” or training module in which he was injured. We ask for your prayers, especially during those 2 ½ weeks, that he and his fellow sailors be safe and that he not reinjure his knee. (Horrible leg and knee injuries are a regular occurrence during this particular exercise.)
Prayers for everyone in Colorado. The flooding is horrible!
