Hi everyone! I'm new to group. My son will graduate MA A school Friday, Aug 10.  I keep seeing Afghanistan mentioned.  How often do Navy MA's get deployed there?

My Sailor has always been land based so I do not know first hand, but this comment has come up before.  Those in Security do usually get Liberty when in port, but they generally get less than what others do since there must always be Security on the ship and also doing patrol on the ground.

MWD, yes my son is a dog handler.  He is currently stationed in Diego Garcia, but is coming home next week.  He will be home for a month then is shipping out to be stationed in Sasebo, Japan for 2 years.  He was stationed at Oceana Naval Station in Virginia Beach though for 2 1/2 years.  Look forward to see you on our prayer wall group.  Hang in there!

MWD, I'm so glad you got to chat with your son.  Do you know about the group here on N4M's that is a prayer wall?  You should join it.  It is a place where u can leave prayer requests and also pray for others who need it.  I belong to the group and they are so awesome and supportive.  It is under carols_kitchen prayer wall.  Maybe I will see you there.  (((Hugs)))
