Hi everyone. Our Sailor is settled in Pensacola doing his second lot of classes for ATI. He is doing great and sounds really happy. He is scouring ads to buy a motorcycle so he can get around. Doing well in Judo and has gained a yellow belt already ~ he is also competing in a tournament in a few weeks! He also wants his things shipped including his golf clubs and motorcycle helmet. How you are all well

Hi there!  Hope everyone is doing well.  We are going to see our Sailor next weekend!  He has weekend liberty and will actually be able to stay with us!  He is in Great Lakes and started ATT last Friday.  He also had to move into his new ship last week.  So he has a permanent address and wants me to mail his things!!!!!  That is not going to be easy to do.  Today is that day though and I have been putting it off.  I hope yours are happy in there new surroundings.  My best to all.

Hello Ladies,

Im glad everyone is doing well.  I miss you guys so much. Life is good with the ability to talk to my daughter everyday. She calls and tell my about her day. She started school today for FC. She is happy. She is in phase 2 now and can wear civilian clothes. She can leave base. A new worry for me. Lol To think about my baby in Chicago.

Maria thanks so much for the pictures.

Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes, this is another journey!!! He gets to call home often and talk about his own experiences. They learn at their own path, have to pass inspections all the time, but he is happy! Sent him his cell-phone and IPod , overnite, so now when the phone rings a see his name!!!!!!!!Loving that!.I dont think we are having a "formal graduation" like we had at GL...so maybe he will come home after finishing his second Boot Camp...no idea yet!!!. I know he keeps in touch with a sailor of our Division 913....and ask about eerybody...other than that, I will try to go to DC in July. Have a week off and the weather will be perfect.

Miss all of you

Hugs,

Maria

My, aren't we a quiet group! Just checking in...but no news? Here's what I've got...my son & Darnell's daughter are still on hold for FC classes, I heard Blessedw2's son just started ET end of last week, Maria's son is in D.C. learning the ceremonial guard stuff...anybody else? When I read the Boot Camp Moms page it makes my heart start to pound thinking of those stressed-out moms waiting for an address or a box. Oh man, I'm glad we're past that stage, but I STILL miss my weekly letters. I have a box of jeans & shirts, Converse sneakers, cowboy boots (lol) & various fun snacks ready to be mailed out to GL. He should reach Phase 2 this week after taking the test so can wear his civilian clothes on liberty. I included a self-addressed stamped envelope...maybe he'll take the hint! Hope your sailors are enjoying whatever stage their schooling is. Keep in touch girls!
