DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

It's not a good idea to post a pic of your Sailor every time you post. See change 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link).

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Another change that I recommend that is mentioned in change 1 is to change the ZIP code to one that is not easily associated with your Sailor.

Since you have a Sailor, you should change "In the NROTC program" above to "Enlisted" because NROTC refers to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, a college scholarship program. I suspect you entered that when you had a recruit and thought that it referred to the RTC. You can make that change when you change the ZIP Code.

You may also want to join CARRIER Families!. This fB page may be of interest as well, https://www.facebook.com/USSTheodoreRoosevelt. The home port will shift to San Diego at the end of the current deployment and you will want to join San Diego Moms or Sailors in San Diego, San Diego Moms/SOs, Lemoore NAS California Moms, and/or Sailors Stationed in California at that timeif your Sailor is staying with the TR.

If your Sailor changes to the GW instead, join USS George Washington Sailors, CARRIER Families!, Duty Station NAS Oceana, VA Beach VA, and/or Norfolk Sailors - Family & Friends.

I still have some old Man U pencils. We have given away the shirts. We lost the beanie. :(  They don't dominate like they used to. We bought a 47" HDTV last year - the broadcast is wonderful. Not as spectacular as American football and baseball but great nonetheless.

If you could start a little log on your airport/airline research (Airport initials - you know what I mean - I am brain dead this morn - travel time to Great Lakes ) - particularly as to getting to PIR - I would love to add that to our PIR TIPS discussion - I also keep tidbits in a file for when a new member need the info. As for "limey" group - none so far but aren't most people in US have some English, Irish or German blood?  Except the ones from the Far East, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle Asian, Central & South America.

Looking forward to meeting you. My younger son, my husband and I are English soccer fans. Will that do?

I sent a message to one of my friends (we haven't spoken in awhile) - she is from Oakley - will get the two of your together when she checks in. Be sure to click on the East Bay Directory under discussions on the San Fran group - I have compiled a list of "East Bay members" - we doing the next meet and greet in Livermore (680/580 corridor) - sort our "East Bay" meet and greet but feel free to send a message to those closer to you and invite them for an informal coffee or ?  You can do that by either sending them a "Friend" request (click on the link to their profile page and click "Add as friend" or you can post a comment on their page which you can do whether you are friends or not (unless that person has her profile page set to private - in which case only friends will be able to view it - mine is private - I am not interested in having my page view by the entire world. I saw your comment on flying Soutwest - good job!
