Good Morning girls,

We were talking about ordering the T-shirts yesterday and I forgot to mention that I ordered a sweat-shirt that says I'M A PROUD NAVY MOM, from printfection which I found here on the Navy4Mom site. I love it and Im sure I will wear it in Chicago. I ordered one and it was too big, tried to return it they told me to keep it and they sent me a new one in a smaller size at no charge to me. If you havent looked at thier site please do.

Well ladies have a great day. Lets hope we get mail today.

Look for "Mail Order Form" and print! Not very user friendly, but it works!

Battle Stations 21 is like a 12 hour final where the division is put through a bunch of tests they have to pass in order to graduate. It's grueling, but through teamwork they CAN get through it. At the end the Commander comes in where they are lined up, congratulate each one & shakes their hand and they get to put on their "sailor" ball cap in place of the recruit one. I hear it's very emotional & satisfying for the guys/girls to know they MADE IT! Then they get to call home & let us know they are sailors. It's making me tear up thinking about it!

Also, the recruits can order division tshirts/hoodies for themselves and friends, but since we don't have immediate communication with them, we can order them ourselves.  I have the link and printed off an order form in case I need it. I think  we'd get a couple for the other kids in our family, but waiting to hear from our son. Hope that helps!

Ooops, Darnell, I just saw your comment on the scarfs; thanks for the info.

Okay, I've read several comments on BS21; what exactly is this?  Also, what is all the talk about the pink scarfs, t-shirts, etc?

To BlessedW2, Yes, we're driving up, but we'll have to leave late Saturday. :(  I actually an thinking it would be better if my son was a 'grad-n-go', otherwise, they could end up in the 'holding' barracks.  My daughter's best friend went through boot camp last winter and she was in limbo for about 2 1/2 weeks and she said they give the limbo sailors all the 'scut' work.  Also, the sooner he goes to A school (which will be in Mississippi), the sooner he'll be done and will get to come HOME for several days!  Sorry this is so long, ladies! :)

To all the new moms here. We are all going to try and wear pink scarfs to graduation. Some of us are going to get 913 momogramed on them for the special day. I hope this something you all can try and do too.

Welcome, usapaula we are happy to have another mom with us.  We have really been a close group and encouraging each other all the way.  It is great to have you join in.  Yes, we are all anxiously awaiting that call!  We don't know when they will be doing BS so I guess I will just stay by the phone all week! LOL

Hey girls, I got a letter today...well a couple of paragraphs telling me he received his contacts.  He had to open them in front of the Petty Officer because of the thick envelope, WHEW, I have been worried.  They did tell him, "he had to look retarded, in his glasses, until PIR!"  But at least they let him keep them...  He also said they could write now on Tues. and Thurs., Yea.  Has anyone else gotten a letter?  Oh, they had BEAT again last night.  Also said they had drill tests this week that they really have to do good on. Pray Pray Pray  It's getting closer...
