I promoted us to Alumni in our name...hope that is ok with everyone.  We earned it!!!  Now, how do we address our sailors now?  Before they had SR before their name.  Anyone know?  I want to send something in to our paper and am not sure how to write it.  Thanks!  My best to everyone.

Hey everyone! Our son is settled into an old barracks that is scheduled to be demolished soon, and then they'll move into the permanent one. His room is next to Blessedw2's son, and they hung out together yesterday. We just got off the phone with him (85 min) and he seems really good. His final orders came on Friday and he's FC not ET. This means he'll be done at Great Lakes end of August instead of October, and after leave (hopefully) will either go to C school or a fleet, depending on what the Navy needs & decides! Graduation weekend was amazing, and I think I'm finally recovered! Still have great memories of us sharing info on this site, and hope your sailors are all settling into the next phase. Stay in touch!

Hi to all and WOW, wasn't it GREAT!!!!  I was so sorry that we didn't make it to m&g.  Our plane got in late and we still had to drive from Milwaukee.  I kept thinking it would be easy to spot and meet at the PIR...but, there were SO MANY pink scarves!

The PIR was the most wonderful and emotional experience!  I am so proud of our son, and now, our Sailor!  The weekend was terrific and I was so impressed with the man he has become.  I also enjoyed meeting his new friends.  He is moving to the Base in GL, across the street,  where he will start A school, for ET.  I am anxious to hear about this new phase as he gets started next week...if all goes as planned.  It was such an emotional weekend and leaving was really sad.  Again, we face the unknown...but, part of his new chosen path which we will support with pride and love.  I look forward to being "connected" with phone and internet and not at the mercy of snail mail!

I wish the best for you and your Sailors.  I hope we will all continue to talk and support each other.  I couldn't have made it without my new friends!  God bless you all!

Thank you so much ladies for all the support. We enjoyed the time with our sailor and getting to meet so many families - from so many locations. While eating breakfast one morning there was 4 sets of parents from Div. 913 sitting together in this small little space. What a great surprise and pleasure. Good luck to all our sailors during A school. God Bless.

Hi, everyone. So nice to meet Whiteclay, Hankjr and Cajundr. It was so funny that Whiteclays son was standing on the balcony and recognized our family right away!

We also missed the meet and great due to awful traffic in Chicago and I thought the San Francisco BayArea traffic was bad!

Now he has a minimum of 100 days in Pensacola, at least he will have modern technology to keep intouch.

Take care everyone!!

Hi girls! It was good to meet Darnell, Julie, Sherri, Norma, kellroy, Maria & Paula, although briefly. Very sorry I didn't see Blessedw2 and NavyMomX's 2. I assume Hankjrfan was there?  We had 2 extra recruits with us on Friday after grad, and then Sat AM because they didn't have family there for them. It was a wonderful weekend...and I appreciate the support we had for each other throughout the past 10 weeks. Take care everybody!

Maria, do you have facebook? We were unable to go to the meet and greet due to a traffic jam in Chicago. However, you were sitting in the balconey across from me. I hope you enjoyed your time with your son. I did see White Clay and Kelly, just for a very short visit. I think we were all ready to see our kids!!
