Oh, and yes... I did notice there happens to be another "Sherrys" in this division! ... funny coincidence!  Also, I did notice this discussion group is not located with your main PIR 2/18/11 group.  As I would hate to leave anyone out of the loop on this one, would anyone here happen to know if there are others with Div 913 SRs who have not yet come aboard this particular discussion group?

Hello all you wonderful families/friends of Ship 02, DIV 913!  I am a mom whose daughter is aboard Ship 02, Division 911... our division is graduating Feb 4th and I can't wait!!!  Well, I wanted to contact you to let you know I have experienced first hand the countdown to PIR and waiting/wishing for another phone call before BattleStations, or hoping to catch a glimpse of my daughter in one of the pictures of PIRs before ours!  As the 900 divisions are the performing divisions, there is a possibility that your SR will perform at the PIRs one and two weeks prior to their own PIR!  One of the moms with a SAILOR in this past Friday's graduating class had snapped some extra pictures and sent them to us via email, in the hopes we may catch a peek at our SRs performing for that PIR.  I would like to "Pay it Forward" by doing the same for you all, if at all possible.  ;o)  Now, here's a silly question ... anyone interested?!  LOL!

Sherrys - we live in Iredell County.  Are you driving up for grad?  It's a looooong drive!  My family is originally from that area, so I've done 'the drive' before, but it's been about 12 years, so I'm definitely NOT looking forward to it; only the outcome! :)  I'm not sure where Wayne county is, so I'm going to google it.

Kellroy -

Where are you leaving from in North Carolina? :-) We are from Wayne County - just wondered how far you are from us.

For some reason - I'm keep having to rejoin this group. It does not show up on my group list. If there is something that I might be doing wrong let me know. Hopefully this time I will stay connected with it. My son is also playing the drums - I think. He played bass drums in high school. He did say they had a lot of drummers and he might be on symbols or something else. Finally received his letter Saturday - he didn't sound as upbeat. I know he had all 4 wisdom teeth out too. 1 had become infected after he got there. So sorry he didn't have them removed earlier.

'Hell week', according to my son:  they have 2 inspections, tests, drill inspection and firefighting.  It's my understanding that this is a very stressful week.  My father was in the navy and he said the nickname is appropriate, but I have faith in all the recruits; they WILL get through this!!  I'm hoping he'll get to call at least one more time before graduation.

Hi, Beth!  Thanks for telling me about this web site; it's great!
