OMG! I just got a call from my daughter ! I was in the middle of writing her a letter ad I saw the 847 area code .....The allowed her a 10 minute call since she missedlast weeks call. She was in the hospital last Sunday with pneumonia..She said she was hoping that i would walk into her hospital room just to give her a hug ! It took all I had not to cry but I am trying to not show her my emotions too much because I don't want her to worry about me.....She sounded good except when she got to talk to my 2 year old grandson( That made her cry! )  Anyway there final PFA is tomorrow and BS21 is Thursday ..I am taking off a half day on Friday so I make sure I get her call !!!  She said they are all doing great and I told her to tell everyone to kick butt !!!  Just think ladies 11 days !!!

Found this poem and I loved it for us moms

GOD BLESS MY SAILOR
AND KEEP HIM SAFE

HOLD HIM TIGHT
IN YOUR WARM EMBRACE

LEAD HIM DOWN
ONLY THE RIGHT ROADS

AND NEVER LET IT BE SAID
HE WAS NEVER TOLD

WE LOVE YOU
MOM &DAD

This is my prayer to my son.

I have been on RTC on Facebook. If you post a question Skipper Maltafano answers. It's pretty neat. There is also Face Book Great Lakes Naval Station.

I believe they just started one for A School also.

Thank you Caryn! I will try to find it...  has anyone looked on the US Navy Recruit Training Command on FB? Pretty interesting.

Thank you for the welcome Andria and Lorraine! I'm glad to be here... still learning how to maneuver around the site, slowly getting the hang of it.
