I better get a picture on or all of you will be looking for someone in a pink scarf who looks like a blue siloutte!! I've been sick all weekend. Flu or something today. Yesterday is was missingphonecallitis. Wish I could stay home from work tomorrow and just sleep, but I had planned on going to school today and doing lesson plans. Spent the day sick in bed instead. So off to work I go tomorrow...
So exciting ladies! We can count the days until we see our recruits Sailors on our fingers and toes!!!!WE ARE GETTING THERE!!!
A friend sent this to me.. She knew my son would soon be graduating Boot Camp. Not sure where she got it but she did say a Navy Boot Camp mom wrote it to her son.
Andria and Lori you will have to change some words.
here it is:
I kissed him and watched him walk away
He graduated boot camp and was on his way.
He stood so tall and so proud as he walked and he waved
I couldn’t be happier of the road he has paved.
The weekend was short how I wished for more days
Just in awe of his presence and the new Navy ways.
His focus and maturity came quick in nine weeks
I know he will find whatever he seeks.
I am back to waiting for calls and the mail
Never knowing when the time comes to set sail.
I will continue to wait for that next hug and next kiss
Not doing it daily is what I will miss.
My son is a man now I need to let go
I don’t know if I can, I just love him so.
I am proud of my son and his accomplishments to date
As hard as it is I will continue to wait.
I will wait for the hugs and wait for the kiss
I will continue to pray and continue to miss.
Please take care of him God on his journey so new
It makes it easier for me knowing he has You.
Hi Vicki,
So good to see you. Now, if we meet at PIR I will recognize you!!!.
I just looked at the website on our form letter and it said she needs a government ID since she is 15. My husband is going to take her to DMV on Monday and get her an official ID...just incase!! I was told that they now mail the IDs....I hope her's gets back in time for PIR!!!!
