I heard the first flag was scholastic also. We have gotten mail 3 days in a row. WHOO HOO!! Yesterday, my husband got a big fat envelope. Thought he was getting a lengthy letter. What he got was a bunch of MY letters my son was sending home! Today I got part two of spring cleaning along with a little note. Says their RDCs have become pretty cool and they are doing well. Said he may be earning a phone call very soon, possibly before we could get the note (which didn't happen) Said something about already earning a 5.0 and having another 5.0 coming up. Don't have a clue what that means, but I'm impressed!

I am almost positive the first flag was scholastic.

Caryn,

I don't know what the first flag  awarded to them might be but the second flag was a Physical Fitness Flag.

Emptynest- I was thinking the same thing today.  At least we know where they are now.  It's the unknown future that gets me upset.  My sons being gone finally hit my 15 year old daughter today.  I received numerous texts today from her telling me how upset she was, then came home to one very sad little girl.  She misses both of her brothers.

Hi Navy moms

Got the same short note from our son with a pile of letters to file at home as Andria got. They must be cleaning house. Their division is doing great.  Their division  got another flag . How great is that that your son's friend wrote you a letter. Did they say how the division was doing? My son passed his PFT. Yes!!!

They get mail every day!  Okay!  I'm sitting down to start writing tonight!  Yesterday I received 2 letters! One from my son, the other from his friend!  They decided to write each other's families to give a different perspective.  It was so fun to read!  He isn't listed on the list Andria provided, so his Mom must not be on N4M's, too bad.

I have adjusted to him being in boot camp, and yet am beginning to realize that its almost over not only for him, but for us and our not being able to contact them!  It's got me crying again....
