Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Now there will be 4 of us going to the PIR, I tried to upgrade our suite and its sold out! We like Residence Inn; it has a common area and we are looking to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Anyone know of any place we could try to get that at?

I got a letter from my daughter on the 21st. She didn't mention of any punishments....I was hoping to get a call from her this weekend but nothing yet !!! All we can do is hope but I still try to think no news is good news!!!!!!!!!!

Emptynestnow, I got a call on the 12th and a letter on the 13th, but no word since. A friend and my mother-in-law got a letter, but I haven't heard from him directly. I still can't get used to not hearing!!!

I've not heard from my son since THE CALL. My daughter just told me that she received a letter this week, he said that they were being punished and he had snuck out to mail her letter. Now I'm worried about his choice to sneak out to mail it!

No letter today. Boo-hoo, sniff, sniff... I sent questionaires out, haven't seen any back yet. Heard they can now write on Tue & Thurs now also. Does anyone know if they get to actually SEND them after they write, or if they are held & still only hit the postal system on Mondays?
