I am so sorry for your loss.Your family will be in my prayers. It's so nice that Will will be able to pay his respects to his Grandfather. How wonderful that the Red Cross did this all for your family.

I'm leaving now for the airport to pick up my Sailor Apprentice, Will. My father inlaw died on Friday, and the funeral is Monday. I called the Red Cross to ask about whether Will would be allowed home for this. I first called them at 3pm yesterday, and at 11pm Will told us that he was coming home! They made arrangements for him, got him an unbelievable ticket price and drove him to the airport! He gets to be home for a week. I am so very thankful!

I'm getting spoiled! Just spoke to my Sailor son again! That's twice in 6 days!! They earned CNO (only 3 divisions got it, don't ask me what it stands for, I don't remember),  got ALL flags, didn't end up with Hall of Fame (yet the division that did earn it didn't earn as many flags as 082). He said they took too many compartment hits and demerits (or something) which cost them Hall of Fame. They ARE an Honor Division. All in all, they are AWESOME!!! They will be the 9the division entering the hall on Friday morning. Get this, they will ALL be wearing ski masks or scarves as they enter. As though 1000 Sailors all dressed the same, with the same haircuts, wasn't making it hard enough to find our kids!! Thanks! I CAN"T WAIT!!!

See you all soon!!!  Wow, what a "mind blowing" experience this has been!  Extra hair color...think I have a lot more grey.  I can't wait to meet you all and all of our sailors!

See you in CHI Town!!
