PB shot....i received a hallarious illustration and description of it!!!  Laughed and laughed!  My recruit said, as he sat indian style on floor, watching a curtain with feet hanging out, they suddenly saw a head down at them and they carried a guy out.  Then described a HUGE man ahead of him that about went down...when it came his turn, said he felt paralyzed and about went down himself.   Said his rear end is still sore from it!!

Andria- Awww!  So sweet to be thinking of you when so much mental turmoil is happening!  You have a beautiful daughter!  My son said they write on Sunday's now..which you said earlier, so i will be rushing home on wednesdays.  I am so excited about the letters that i have had a headache since i got it last night!  Good night, all!

I got 4 letters today!!!!  Excitement at it's finest!  He is doing great.  Loves the pt and has also found a new respect for home.  Worked out with the seals and is still debating if he wants to go for it.  He was in great spirits and said he was just focused and loved all my letters from home.  Days are flying by after they got out of p week..weeks..which he thought would never end!  I don't think I could be more proud of him...MY SAILOR!!

Whoo Hoo!! We got letters today!! He wrote a a few occasions, and finally got to send them out. Our recruit is doing okay. Says it's tough but he's hanging in there. He misses everyone a lot, and I think has a new found appreciation for home! Found out they started bc training on the 28th. That puts them about a  week into it.  I'm hoping that the mail will come on a weekly basis. It was sooo good to hear from him.

It' has been 3 weeks since he has been gone. I did get a lettle note on the back of a card from his socks (which he tucked into "the box") and the few lines he wrote on the form letter. But no other word. I am trying to be patient waiting for a REAL letter. I am generally a very patient person. BUT this is making me nuts! Trying to keep busy, but if I could just get a letter... Hey Mr. Postman, look and see. See if there's a letter, a letter for me...

Tomorrow is another day...

I've corresponded with the wife of a recruit who flew out of Miami with my son. He is in division 79. She got a call and he told her that they would be starting training yesterday. All the entrys I've been reading on the PIR 2-18-11 group lead me to believe they are starting their training about now, but that graduation will remain that date.  I found some GREAT info about what they are doing on http://usmilitary.about.com/od/navyjoin/l/aanavybasic1.htm  . Hope this link works. It gave me great insight. Check it out.

To those that got a letter....did your recruit state what week/day they are on?  Hoping that graduation isn't delayed!!

Dang!  No letter today, either!  I think the mail lady is holding them hostage!  At this point she can have almost anything she wants.  Holding out hope that Monday will bring news from the great lakes!!!
