My guy is going to be so proud of me!  He is always stressing the importance of eating correctly, exercising, and weight loss.  I am down 23.4 lbs since he left!!  Of course stress has a lot to do with it, but eating right and exercise sure helped!  I will be wearing smaller clothes up to see him!  I can't wait to see his expression!!!

Emptynestnow, I understand your anxiety about missing the call Friday. I missed my son's call last week. Decided I would not let that happen for the next call. We have spots at school where there is no reception. I have decided to take the day off Friday! Going to work in his bedroom, cleaning it out!

I just got back from seeing a friend I've missed for awhile, and all I seemed to do was talk about all of you and the bonds and support and friendships found here!  I am glad to hear that Lori's daughter is better, but it made me burst into tears when you shared that she was hoping you'd walk into her room.  I haven't gotten a letter from my son in the LONGEST time- I'm scared that I could miss his call on Friday as I get terrible phone reception in my office. Lifting the RC's AND US in prayer!

Navymom and Andria, love your words of encouragement! Thank you for sharing. And praying for your daughter Lori! Glad she's doing better! and in good spirits!!! It's tough when they get sick... My oldest daughter joined the Airforce a few years ago and she lasted 2 weeks in basic, she injured her back and was medically discharged after spending 3 more weeks in the hospital (before coming home) and on top of that she had THE worst head cold ever!  11 more days...and counting!! : )
