I already made my reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn about 8 miles from base. Today is the 3 weeks mark ladies so hopefully we will all hear something. As soon as you get the calls make sure you update everyone on here ASAP! We all need to hear how they are doing. Have a good day Ladies!

Hope my son is not one of the offenders! I know we're staying somewhere between the Milwaukee airport and GL for graduation, because we're flying in to Mil. instead of O'Hare I think SEALS go right into pre BUDS after graduation but still stay at great lakes. Hope the phone calls come today (but not during class while I'm teaching!!)

Have been following the discussions on the main page and finally decided to join in. I miss my son terribly can't wait for that phone call this week. I received my first letter Friday, what a great feeling that was. My son's girlfriend had received 3, so she shared her letters with me to keep us both going. Already made my reservations at the Ramada. Was recommended by a friend who had a son graduate in Feb. The countdown is great! Soooo looking forward to graduation. My son is a rescue swimmer his letter to his girlfriend said he might have a 3-4 month wait until A school, not sure yet if he meant he will be here (GL) or in Pensecola. We don't live far from GL, so it would be nice if he stays here a few months, a least we could visit.

Are you kidding me..A couple the them from the other divisions that are graduating the same day got to make calls home. I just read that on the other group. Ugh!!
Comment by AnG on April 12, 2010 at 8:06pm
Still no call here either. I really hope mine is not the one causing the trouble if there is any - lol. His first letter home said he didn't even know anybody's name yet because he was too busy to find out names. I just like to know what is going on and it is hard not to be able to find out.

I have no idea.. Our group of guys must be getting in trouble or something.. lol.. not the first phone call yet.. geessh.. Oh well. I guess I'll go by the Navy slogan " No news is good news " UGH!! Waiting for more letters in the mean time, looks as if they will come before the call does.. oh, and don't for ONE minute think that if, and when he gets to call, and I happen to miss it, o, I am so stalking that payphone!

When they finally get to make a phone call is it only one call like in prison, or can call both their Mom and their girlfriend? I know if my son has to choose, his gf is going to get the call. Oh well, at least she'll be able to tell me how he's doing :)
