Does anyone have any idea how many recruits are in a div? or on the ship? or how that all works?

Thanks for letting me know that brenda.. I'm still waiting on the long letter, it's in the mail somewhere, and I'm sure it's going to tell me everything about what he knows will be going on.. I heard pre buds can be anywhere from 5-12 weeks.. I guess we'll know for sure when it comes time.. I'm so happy to hear from my husband.. but it just makes me miss him that much more!

Hi, we got two letters from our son today. It seems that he is o.k., and surviving. Said that he has to get up at 2:00am-ish to do his ironing! (wow, I didn't know he knew how to :) Said the food was O.k., not like home, and that rumor had it that they might be at pre-buds for only a couple of weeks, before they went to CA.

I finally got my letters today! But, the sad news is, he told me wrote me a 21 page letter, and put 5 stamps on it, so it would be enough postage, but I haven't received it.. I figured they would all come in at the same time.. And yea, my husband done CrossFit with the Seal fit workouts 6 days a week.. He done it for about a year and a half before he left.. They referred to him as the "mutant", and I'm like you aspsls, he's not human! But I'm very proud of him, and my husband also said he's ready for bootcamp to be over with and move on :) I'm still worried about the long letter though, I want it!

Thanks, we will definitely be looking for the letters. His Dad and I are very proud of him, and realize that this is what he has wanted since he was 17.

My husband is in the Seal program.. And yes, from what our recruiter told us, they are worked harder.. especially in pool time.. From what I've heard, they have atleast 2 hours pool time in the mornings, and their pt is a little different.. But that's just what I've HEARD.. So don't quote me on anything :) But I do know, for a fact, that they are worked harder. A recruiter from the office my husband went through, he also tried out for seals, and he said that it was pretty tough in bootcamp, he dropped out of the program DURING bootcamp.. lol

I am really new at this, so please bare with me... do you think this division is worked harder, etc because of their choice in career? I am very proud of them all. It is hard waiting to get that first letter. I was so hoping that he would call on Easter, but it never came. Which program is your husband in?
Comment by NavyWife10 on April 7, 2010 at 10:19pm
Yea, they are all spec ops.. which could vary from Seals, Divers, EOD, and SWCC. Those are the special ops the navy has.. We have something to be proud of! I can't wait.. I've already thought about what I'm gonna wear.. I can't wait. I hope I get my letter tomorrow.. I told my mom to check the mail for me, and if they came, I'm leaving work early! lol I NEED those letters :) I hope April flies by! !!!!!
