I know, I'm hoping my husband gets overnight liberty too. It sure would be nice to sleep in the same bed again.. Two weeks after his pir, I'm going up to stay a month with him, and I can not wait. I just wish May would hurry and get here, I never knew this would be so hard. It's tears my heart up not knowing what he's doing, and how he's doing. I've never fely so alone.
Aspsls- sometimes, pre-buds guys are grad and go, if they have more recruits coming in and they need their space. So maybe that's the case with us. fingers crossed anyways! :)

Well said Linda - would love the call but I hope they at least got to write yesterday and that we will get the letters by Wednesday or Thursday.

AnG- I believe that your sailor will find out more about when he leaves a few days before pir, from what I've read..

Linda- I know what you mean hunny. Monday starts their third week, which is supposed to be when the call is made. So hang tight.. I've talked to my husband 2 times, and the last time I talked to him, he said that he could write today, and then call this coming up week. So, we're getting there.. I hope the letters aren't too sad.. From what I've heard, the first ones are always a lil dis-couraging. :( I hope not.

That's nice that he is staying. My son is going to Pensacola for Air Rescue training just dont't know what day.
Linda - I was hoping for an Easter call from my son also.

Well, my husband is going for Seals, and even if he does leave, he only goes across the street, and if that happens on the same day as PIR, then he will have weekend liberty, meaning, he doesnt have to go back until Monday. If he doesn't get to transfer to pre buds immediately, and goes the following week, then he has liberty until a certain time that fri, sat, and sun. night. So either way, we'll get to see them the whole weekend.

Thanks...I'll look at navy lodge. Otherwise it is going to be Ramada or Courtyard for us. Do you already know if yopur husband gets the whole weekend or did you just do that to be on the safe side. Jordan's recruiter led him to believe he would leave right away. Hoping to hear if that's true or not.

I already made my reservations at the navy lodge for that thur-mon

Did anybody decide where they were staying? We still haven't decided who is coming. Just checking to see if anyone has made plans yet.
Comment by AnG on April 2, 2010 at 6:11am
we are within driving distance so that won't be a problem. We have looked at hotels but have not reserved anything yet. Will probably make a decision this weekend. I would like to know if Jordan is a grad & go so I know how long I have before he leaves. It is very nerve-wracking because in all reality he has been gone a week. It seems like forever and yet I have to make plans for his graduation already.
