Hello.  My son is also on ship04 division 812.  I am hoping to get a letter today.  Usually they come on Thursday.  I am so glad to hear they are doing so well as a division.

Just got a phone call, yeah!!! The division did so well yesterday they earned a phone call. If they continue to do this well he thinks they will be in the Hall of Fame. Proud of our guys.

I got my letters yesterday! He told me that on 6/1 ( week 6 day 1) that he would know what his orders would be, like how long in between boot camp and a- school. So that was great to hear!

Thanks for sharing BHMimi. I am glad to hear they are finally have come together and won a couple of flags. It is very difficult to talk about them. You want to cry because you are so proud and because you miss them so much.

That is funny about the towels. I am like you momof8 our son couldn't pick up his towel. Wonder what an ironed towel looks like. I might have to experiment. The gas chamber test was this week and he was sick for a couple of days with a virus. Apparently it was something going around. Our letters yestereday where very up beat. Sounded more like himself. May 14th seems so far away. I was hoping they would get to call today.

I just received a letter also. He sounds really upbeat, and the time seems to be passing very quickly. He said they run Battle Stations on May 13th, so I guess our May 14th phone call will be the "I,m a Sailor" call. He said he hasn't heard anything about liberty yet, he is going to pre-buds from here which from what I understand is across the street. I hope he has liberty for the weekend.

Yay! Thanks for sharing! We got a letter today, too! He said they're down to 78 people. Guess the "higher ups" are predicting the group will be down to 65 in a week or so. Also said he's losing weight because all the food is low fat, and "they don't give us a lot of meat, so no protein. Ugh!" :) He had to close the letter, because he had to iron his towel--I think that's what it said. I can't stand it when it's towel-ironing day here at home. ha!

Aw--don't despair! At least we have 13! :) The last group I was in for our first son going through BC had only 5 members! I just don't know how to get the word out better.

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I got a letter. He said he was sick and running fever for a couple of days. He said he will have the weekend with us but will leave on Sunday. Sounded like the division is working together much better. Still a few that can't behave but I guess those are everwhere....Will be back on tonight . Gotta go back to work with my sinus headache!!! Later.

I think it would be a good idea to all be in only one group...seems they are active at different times. Can you guys mention if you et news of grad & go today in your letters? I think I will call tomorrow and try to find out for sure if your boys say the same thing. Makes little sense to me as other talk has been saying there is a "back-up" in the BUDS trail at the moment, and they are only going across the street, so the only reason I can think of is to make room for BC people...but it seems they should still get to spend the weekend with us.
