Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

looks like we have 9 hours, he is a sat departure to florida, and Im praying we will all be leaving out of the same airport around the same time so I can give him some of his belongings, guess they don't find out any of that info until the last minute themselves, not sure about my ex..he still hasn't booked his plane ticket yet, but says hes going

I think we're all in the 'same boat' here ladies...now that my SR is G&G to another state, we have the same amount of time...I feel for you, Sharlene + Gina...We will have to make the very best of every moment.

Oh wow! I'm so sorry to hear that Sharlene. I could be in the same boat as you with the time. I haven't heard when he's leaving for sure yet. Hopefully your SR's mother is going to share some time with you. Big Hug to you!

Finally got a response from our SR's mother. According to her he is only going to have 5 hours of liberty after PIR.

I'm hoping the SRs have kept the sidewalks ice and snow free. I'm sure some of them have spent time with a snow shovel. LOL

Hey everyone! Boy am I glad I logged on to check the group today....a 15-20 minute walk in the snow? wow I don't even think I have any clothes or shoes for that :/ Guess that means a shopping trip....gee darn .... lol Anyway, my husband and I are taking the shuttle as well so whoever needs company will definitely have it :)

My uncle, aunt and cousins live there! My uncle has a restaurant called "El Rancho" there...maybe you've heard of it.
My oldest sister also lives there...Lol
