Ellen, are ya'll driving to the base or taking the shuttle? We are debating. I have been reading conflicting things about parking on the base. I dread the 15 to 20 minute walk from the front gate if we take the shuttle, but I don't want to get tied up in traffic for a hour either. Any thoughts?

Ellen, How far is it for ya'll? We have about 10 1/2 hours.

We're driving, too, from PA...not sure if any 'Chicagoan's' here(sorry about the spelling...lol).

Is anyone here close to Chicago?  We are in Arkansas and planning on driving up for PIR.  Wondering if someone can keep us update on the weather as time draws closer.

I'm assuming it's just the password, but, maybe someone here can verify this...

Is the password the only thing we need from her?  We have asked her for a copy, but have yet to get anything.  Is there anything else we need in the letter, or just the password?
Comment by Ellen B on January 7, 2011 at 5:50pm
Sharlista-If she could give you the password your SR wrote in the form letter, you should be able to print your pass. Are you traveling together to graduation, staying in the same hotel? If so, then she could print an extra and bring it along. If you're all taking the shuttle from the hotel, you won't need this pass at all. Just need picture ID as verification you are SR listed as his guest.

All our SR's PIR information went to his mom, she has not given us a copy yet.  I'm beginning to worry about being able to get on base.  Don't we have to print a pass before we get there in order to attend PIR?

Ellen B.  Sent a msg to you.  I would like 1 button Division 050, don't think his dad would wear a "NAVYFORMOMS" button :) Thanks see you in 2 weeks

I am sooo glad we don't have the snow where we live because I'm pretty sure I would be stuck with that chore as well :)
