Hi Everyone!

I've just confirmed the Residence Inn as well (I cancelled the Red Carpet Inn, I agree with RWG regarding the privacy)  I'm a travel agent and just booked the regular 1 bedroom rate for $134.00... There is one more 1 bedroom suite available for the Grad rate of $129.00 - Kathleen, here- is the info as I suggest you call ASAP and put on hold for 3nights 16-19 June, It will hold your whole family.

Momtobps, We reserved a room at the residence fo June 16,17 and 18. It has a separate bedroom incase my SR wants to just relax and talk on the phone he can feel like he has privacy. They dont get any in bootcamp. The hotel is around 4 miles to the base. The rate is 129.00 per night. There are better prices elsewhere. But I heard this is a good place for Navy graduation customers. You can take a shuttle to the base for 3 dollars a person each way. I called the shuttle company and they also say they will pick us up at the airport for 50.00. They said the bigger cab company's charge 110.00. Im not gonna drive in Chicago. I need to keep my cool that weekend haha

Hi- I've confirmed the "Red Carpet Inn" for $56.00 per night arrival 16th June for 3nights, it is only 1 mile from base and seems to be the closest that I found. The reason I've confimed this for now is that I've heard they will not be able to stay overnight with us as they have to report back to base sometime between 800pm and 900pm. My son is staying at GL for A-school so he will not be leaving on the Saturday following the PIR. But as we all know this could change, and he could end up in FL etc. I do know that we were talking about taking him to 6 Flags if he is up to it and Chicago...... and of course what ever food he wants to eat :)

So has anyone any ideas where they will stay? I have never been to Chicago and I sm looking thru the hotels... So many. I wnat to pick a really nice place so my son can kick off his boots and go swmming if he wants. Suggestions?
