I thought it would be good to start a sub group for our Div. Since our recruits probably know each other!

Our son's name is Brendan.  I can't wait for a phone call or a letter.  Now he was never good about writing when he was little at summer camp ..... but I can always hope! :)

My son didn't write before either and has not written yet either. I was thinking th other day I should type out a letter leave blanks for him to fill in and a self addressed, stamped envelope! Maybe... just maybe then!!  :-)

Here is one I just sent:

Here is a “fill in the blank” letter to make it a bit more encouraging for you to write home. I have also enclosed a self addressed stamped envelope J

We are flying from Houston and staying at the Ramada Inn.  We plan to attend the meet and greet!
Looks like a lot of us will be staying at the Ramada.  Looking forward to meeting other Mom's that have walked the same walk as me.  I'm anxiously waiting for my first real letter. My house is quiet and I miss him so much.  It's amazing how much 1 more kid adds to the family conversations.  I think the counter said we have only 43 more days... and counting!

Our SR is our only child, and it's been CRAZY QUIET!!  I sure miss hearing his voice...it would be like Christmas to get a call now. Maybe there will be a letter this week.

I can't imagine what it's like to only have one child. I thought mine, being the baby, was a tough thing. You certainly have to hang in there! (Put my arm around ya and pat your back) It's going to be alright!!
Thanks, gsskygirl, we're ALL gonna be okay :)  Good to be on this site w/others who know what we're going through!
I'm pretty sure they have to wear their navy ones.

MeetNGreet will be the Thurs night before PIR:

PIR 8/19//11 MeetNGreet

Thurs, 8/18

6-8 pm

Ramada Inn Waukegan

200 N. Green Bay Rd

I'll be there!

I believe we will be staying at the Ramada as well.  It seems very nice.
