Hanging out in the hotel with our Sailor! I am one happy mama! Trying not to think about how fast the time is passing! It will be really hard to take him back tonight.

I'm loving all his stories. He said he actually liked bc!

We just ate jimano's pizza. It wasn't bad. A bit bland...but then again it was a hamburger pizza!

We wanted to go to Navy pier tomorrrow but it is there Air/Water show and there is supposed to be like a million people there. I think we will skip it and do the museum.

We went to the Waukegan Lighthouse. It was really nice. It was quiet and we walked all the way to the lighthouse. Took alot of pics with his gf and the family. They are beautiful...the sky was so blue and the water was a pretty, clear blue. Very relaxing and enjoyed the cool breeze!

This is a really great day!

Janice - my son is staying in GL as well. I picked him up around 2:45, and he JUST NOW woke up! We are planning a full day tomorrow. I, too, am thankful for everyone on this site for support and comraderie!

I am very proud of the entire PIR group. A fine looking group of Sailors!

This was the 2nd best day of my life seeing my son as a Sailor.  I would have to say the my 1st was the day he was born.  I am so proud of him and all the Sailors that they made it with out their family members help.  The only thing that we could do is send letter and wait for the calls to come in but I do know now that this was well worth the wait.

I would also like to say thank you to all the people on this website you have been a great help to me.

I am back a my hotel waiting for a call from my son that we can pick him up.  He will be staying in Great Lakes so I will get to see him all weekend and can not wait.

So most of you have your sailors in your possession now...HOOYAH!  For those waiting for GL sailors to complete their move, it won't be long and then they should have weekend daytime liberty, hopefully!

Hope that PIR was everything...and MORE...than you hoped it would be!

Bravo Zulu to all of the new Sailors!
