Diannep: They charge a $100.00 sanitation fee. Not much to have the fur kids along!

duhhuh:  Glad to have both you and J&R'sMom on as added veterans to this group!

Carol....so glad that you have N4Ms to support you through this time.  It is such a wonderful group.  Mine has been in 1.5 yrs....currently on his first "work up" at sea.  With one in for 4 yrs already, you have alot you can teach us veterans on here...since none of us have sailors who have been in that long!  :-)

J&RsMom:  Glad you are on here not only as a current SR's mom but as a veteran!  Hope you can help us veterans in fielding questions on here!

Welcome to both you and Kim!

jma:  They do charge a fee for having the dogs there...but believe me...if we could have driven (but in Miami, so wasn't too doable!), we would have brought ours. Mine are LARGE dogs...but I hate leaving them for anything!

I know your new sailor would be so excited to see them!

oh, i just realized, cait will graduate the same day (4 year later) that jess did!

well, got the box 4 days after she left (left 5 days late due to cancelled flights).  got her address from her recruiter today but no PIR.  but talking with J&R's Mom (hey girl!) found out our kids are in the same group!

so, this is my second girl in and both of them were/are in co-ed divisions!

cait is my oldest, and the good kid.  she's married (1 1/2 years) and hubby will be moving there at graduation as she'll be in A and C school in GL.

jess is my middle child and has been in for 4 years (almost to the day her big sister went in) and is currently deployed on the USS George HW Bush and the mother of my great, sweet, handsome grandson Sugar Butt!

so glad to be here and am REALLY looking forward to meeting all of you!  there was no N4M's when my oldest went in.

we received our form letter and our son's small note - it was wonderful.  He is in Ship-10 Div-265.  I can't wait for the weeks to pass so we can see him if only for a moment.  We will be flying in from WA state.

Got my form letter today Ship 10/Div 267.  This is my second child to go through Navy BC this year.  Love It!

It is so good to see that you guys are getting the boxes and form letters. Now it's time to start sending those letters :-) The one thing my daughter still tells me every time we talk about boot camp is that my lettes are what got her through it. She said she didn't think she could have done it without my support from home. I wrote her every single day while she was there and she said getting the letters was better than Christmas. So get those pens and paper ready and start writing ;-)

Diannep: That's great to hear! I hate leaving my doxies behind! We have a 12 year old girl, and my son's fiancee, so having the 2 bathrooms is necessary! The Residence turned out cheaper then 2 rooms anywhere else!
