Hello and welcome to our newest PIR group. I am another veteran mom here to help make bootcamp easier for you. I have 2 sailors. my daughter had PIR last summer on July 23rd and she was in the choir. My son-in-law had PIR last year in October. They are both finished with A-school and are now living in an apartment near VA Beach. If you have any questions at all please feel free to ask. I know right now it feels like the time will drag by it will go so much faster than you could ever think it will. My name is Lora, all my friends call me Lala :-)

HA!  Yes, I think so!  It is great to be a "homeroom mom" of a group here.  I have started 3 different groups in the past and loved it.  As ladies join, you may want to ask one if she will agree to be an administrator for you.  This means...she has privileges that you have on the group, such as adding the countdown clock (if you want one, or you can add it), deleting posts, etc.  It is always nice to have 2 people "watching the board" to make sure nothing inappropriate is posted (like SR's last names...not allowed).

What I did was watched to see which ladies were pretty active on the site and then asked one of them.  You can add her by clicking on "Manage Group."  Something for down the road!

Now, would you like to get a Navy picture to replace the silhouette pik above?  If so, google Navy pictures and save one that you like.  Then just download above.  There are plenty out there...and it is your choice!  It helps to personalize your group. You can also write something next to it if you want to.

Once RTC posts the divisions in this group, you can add those numbers after your PIR 8/19/11 title (same line).  Should be next week (Tues).  It will be on the upcoming grad page.  RTC FB also posts them.  So far, there are Div 263-268, but there will be more.   You may want to drop into BootCamp Moms each day for a while and post your link to this group.

Both FireTeamLeadersWife (another veteran) and I have posted it on Bootcamp today, so maybe starting tomorrow, you can do that!

Thanks for starting the PIR group, gsskygirl!  I will post the link on bootcamp moms so that others can find you!
