OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I haven't heard as of yet. Some of the other division posts for those going to Florida were showing both Saturday and Sunday. I am hoping for Sunday (of course)

I do!  My son's going to Pensacola, Florida.  I don't have any details on flight info though.  He mentioned getting to the O'Hare airport at 4:00 am and meeting at the USO.  That's all I know. I'd love to know what time they fly out.

Not sure if you all have this already:

A NAVY MOTHER’S CREED

I am the mother of a United States Sailor.

I will support, love and honor my Sailor as they defend the Constitution of the United States of America and I will pray for those commanding officers over my Sailor and those fighting along side them.

I represent the proud spirit of a Navy mother and all those who have gone before me that prayed that God would protect our Sailors as they defend freedom and democracy around the world.

I stand strongly as my Sailor serves our country's Navy combat team with Honor, Courage and Commitment.

I have given my greatest excellence to our Navy – my flesh, my love, my Sailor!
