Danbrisoap - send the cards in one envelope addressed to your recruit. They will then pass them out to their fellow recruits.

Glad to have you along for the ride!

Welcome, danbrisoap...so happy to see another div 058 loved one out there! I was beginning to think threre were only 4 of us, lol. Chris did an excellent job of suming up the Christmas card project a few posts ago. If we all do it that's 18 each. Can't wait to pick mine up tomorrow.

Chris - I'm in on the Christmas cards!! I'm off on Friday so I will get them done and in the mail then. No letter here, either....maybe tomorrow.

I was searching for more Ship11 Div 058 moms and this verse popped up...I wanted to pass it on to all of you.

And the Lord will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.    Isaiah 58:11

Stay strong moms, we are a 1/3 of the way there and letters are surely coming soon.

By the way, no letter today and I was really thinking there might be one!  Tomorrow is another day.  Hope springs eternal.  I hope you all are doing well in this time of waiting.  I keep praying for all the recruits with a PIR of 1/28/11 but particularly for Ship 11, Div 058.

Four ways, not for ways!

Comment by ChrisNukeEMmom on December 15, 2010 at 9:05pm

Adamsmom,

If we divide it for ways that would be 22 cards each.  So.... get 22 Christmas cards and write an encouraging note, something like letting them know there are moms who would love to write to them and encourage them through boot camp.  Include your name and address.  Try to fit all the envelopes in one (or two) 4x 6 envelopes addressed to your recruit.  I am going to try to get them in the mail in the next day or two.  I am also going to send one the the RDC's.  Let me know if you have any questions.

I can participate in the cards as well. I just need to know what to do.

Sharon, If you, Dana and I each do it,  we can round it off to 30 each. That will be 90 but it's better to have a few extra than not enough.

Hi Ladies, I haven't received any mail or phone calls either. My son left 3 weeks ago today. I received his clothes the first week, his welcome letter the second week. I am assuming we will receive the letter or call this week. This is probably the hardest thing I have had to go through (the not knowing how he is). Hopefully, we will hear soon.

Chris, how many are we each sending?
