I got Christmas cards today and will try to get them in the mail by the end of the week.  No mail here today but I am really hoping for tomorrow.

Ooops, not POA but PAO, Public Affairs Office. I think a 4x6 envelope is a good idea. If we all agree to do 22 each they should squeeze in. I will need to send mine out by Friday to insure they get there in time. No letter for me today, hope someone gets one soon!

I think that sounds great Sharon.  By the way, I'm a bit out of the loop, what's the POA? Someone else mentioned that we should put the cards in no bigger than a 4x6 envelope.  What do you think?

Happy Monday ladies!!! I called the POA this morning about the Christmas cards. They recommended that we assume there are 88 recruits in the division, so if we divide that 4 ways that's 22 cards each. They said that the rct would have to open the envelope in front of his RDC and once they saw it was cards let the rct hand them out. They said the recruit would not be penalized. I'm game if you guys are! Let me know.

Here's hoping for a good week for all and maybe a letter!!!!!

Hi Dana,  I hope things are going well for you today and I'm hope, hope, hoping for a letter this week although my son, who is a marine, told me not to let myself get too upset if I don't - remember this IS the military :)  If it's just you and I doing the Christmas cards how about if we assume there are 88 and do 44 each?

Hello Ladies!  No letter today.  I have read about the Christmas card idea and would love to participate.  I feel really bad that I'm not able to log on as often as I would like, but work and the four boys at home still keeps me really busy.  I will check back in tomorrow.  Have a great night!

No letter today, but I did get info from the Armed Forces Bank. It was nice just to see some of his handwriting, silly I know. Chris, I would be happy to help with the Christmas cards, from what I understand there are about 88 SR in a division. I don't know where I read that # but it sticks in my head. I'm not clear as to how we should send them. I wonder if we should call the Public Affairs Office? Let me know what you think. And your right, every day is one day closer, thanks for reminding me of that :)

Hi Dana, Adamsmom, and Sharon,  I hope you all are doing well while we're in this waiting period.  Every day is one day closer to hearing from them!!   I've made reservations at the Spring hill suites in Waukegan.  Have you read about the Christmas card idea?  Are you interested in doing it for our division?  I sent a letter to my son today asking him how many are in their division but what do you think the chances are I'll receive an answer to that any time soon?  If you don't want to or don't have time I'd be glad to do it myself.

Haven't made the reservation as yet. Will make it next week. No letter today.

Hi Ladies, no letter yet.  Adam's Mom, we love Nevada.  My BIL has been in the Navy for 23 years and was in Reno for a period of time.  We got our hotel reservation made the other day, we'll be at the Residence Inn. Have you all made your reservations?  Is it possible that our division can be this small?
