Diane- is your son going to MA school there? If so there is a group page at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/sanantoniomasatthu

and yes Chris, I hate being out of the loop :( I was hoping to come back on Sunday so I could have all day Saturday to get stuff to him, now we are flying back Saturday early afternoon to try and save some money.

My son is going to South Carolina and he told me he will not be leaving until Feb. 1st or 2nd so he will be able to spend the weekend with us.  That was great news!!  I am expecting to find out more in his letter this week.  He said they were supposed to be finding out more about their schooling right after Christmas or the beginning of this week.  It's hard being out of the loop isn't it?

Hi Ladies, My son is going to A school in Maryland. He did tell me he would have a little wait before they left. He also told me that two other recruits are going with him to Maryland. My son's recruiter told us not to buy anything until he gets to A school. This way, they can see how much room they will have and what exactly they will need.

Has anyone heard about travel plans for A school yet? I'm going to have to come home on Saturday and I'm worried that I won't have enough time to get my son his things to take to A school. He is going to A school in San Antonio and I'm guessing he'll be flying out on Saturday.

Happy New Year Div 058 moms!! Spent the New Year with my husbands nephew on the California coast. It really was nice to get away. He spent 10 years in the Navy so it was extra nice to have someone to share stories with. So happy to see we picked up a couple new members. Can't wait for later this month, doesn't that sound close?

Hi Cheryl, Welcome! I received 2 letters yesterday. He is doing so good. He passed his DEP test. We are so proud of him.  He loves the snow. We are from Ca originally and now living in NV. My son is not used to having snow. He said they got about a foot of snow on Christmas Day.

Welcome Cheryl!  I'm glad you found us!  I got a long letter from my son yesterday. It was great.  I love it that we're hearing from them more regularly now.  He speaks very highly of the RDC's - says the chief sits down with them personally and tells them what they did a good job on that day and what they need to work on.  Isn't that fantastic?
