Lydia! So glad to hear you received your letter!!! Get out the bon bons, cuddle with Luke's childhood teddy bear, and go ahead and cry. It's what all good moms do. :) Hmmm. . .wonder how he got that nickname? Wonder what Cody's nickname is?

The Navy takes very good care of their own. He just didn't give me enough information about the knee thing. I'm an RN & going to be resuming my graduate studies in Jan as an oncology nurse practitioner.

Well, I am at work so I suppose I better get back to the grindstone. I'll touch base later. Hope to hear that you both receive a letter or a phone call today!!!! :)

Dodie - he's young and is getting the best of care. I will include him (as well as Luke) in our prayers. We have been praying for the division, but it is REALLY nice to have specific names and issues to pray about! :)

Lydia - You are proof that your son is going to do great in bootcamp!!! LOL What a GREAT mom! And no, I won't share that with Cody. I just find comfort in knowing that we are all in the same boat. . .pun intended! :)

LOL about getting the info. I've been on the N4Ms site since last Jan after my son contracted as a Nuke:)

He said he got his legs tangled with another recruit during PT and fell awkwardly and "hurt it badly". Probably a severe sprain. The physician told him he would be fine and it is good news that he is still with his division.

Dodie: Oh! So glad to hear you are pretty close to Chicago. We are seven hours away. I, too, have worried about the weather. I tell you, if the weather even remotely looks like it could be bad, I will leave Iowa a week early just to make sure I get there!!! LOL

Lydia: LOL!!! I was ready to kidnap the mailman and search his car if I didn't get a letter yesterday!!! You're right, don't mess with me! :)

I don't know about you ladies, but I plan to buy Navy mom shirts when we are on base. I hope they have a "Don't mess with a Navy mom" shirt!!!
