Hi All, We dropped our son off at Great Lakes Sunday afternoon about 4pm so we could head back home. It was sooo hard. I pulled his scarf down, hugged & kissed him on the cheek, & told him how much I was going to miss him. Then, I started to tear up. He told me not to cry & that he would be home for Christmas in a couple of weeks. I told him I was very PROUD of him. He enjoyed talking w/his friends at home, but he really wasn't home sick at all...He said he can't wait to get to his A school.

A big thank you & hug to Ariel...Thanks for letting me give you his cell phone/charger to take to the airport tomorrow. You're the best:)

What a great day it was yesterday! So glad to be able to see my son - and hug him!! His brother and sister were anxious to see him as well. Looking forward to spending more time with him today. We're staying at the Navy Lodge as well. :)

Marilyn, I missed seeing you at the PIR:( We actually sat in the VIP area as my nephew is an officer at Great Lakes & reserved us space there.

I am so thankful for this sight. I never got a call from Ben today either. I have three cell phones with me so I won't miss his call. I wonder why they have not called. Seems strange doesn't it? Maybe they got to sleep since they have done so well!!
