Just remember on the mail, ladies, you don't want to draw attention to your SR.  So envelopes need to be plain white and postcards should be in an envelope.  All RDCs are different and some may not make anything of these things, but others have a little fun with it.  For sure don't send any "singing" cards...some have had to do pushups, etc until the darn thing ran out!  :-)  So plain white envelopes, no stickers or cutsie writing on the outside, and normal thickness.

There is no problem with your SR receiving tons of mail, so better to divide potentially thick envelopes into 2.  The more mail, the happier your SRs!

Am I the only one in this group that hasn't gotten a phone call?  I am so very happy for all ya'll that did, but sick with worry over my SR.  I know 'no news is good news' but my heart and my head aren't on speaking terms right now....

Fritz4at, I can't tell you how many times during my 23 minute phone call today I wanted to jump in my car and drive to GL to get her and hold her and reassure her in person that this WILL get easier...she's so homesick right now, like the rest of the SRs I'm guessing. My heart just aches for her!!!!! She's a very strong young lady, but I think she's finally met her match with boot camp!

did we all ask the same question   "did you make the right choise of going in" mine also said yes with no question yes I am so proud of him  and all of the SR's    The tears are back tonight I am also thankful for all of you I have seen so many of the same feelings i have had for the past 4 weeks. Sometimes I think it is harder of us just because we can't hold their hands they are now no longer our little boys and girls  but men and women         go Navy

Navy Mother's Creed was AMAZING!!! I didn't know that someone in our group wrote it!!! That makes it even more AMAZING!!!! I'm also going to the Hallmark store tomorrow...can't wait to read them and find one for my SR! Well, maybe I'll hold on to it for a day or 2, she was pretty emotional on the phone today, bless her heart!!!!! The call was at 11:30 and I'm still giddy!!!!!!!!!!

I will have to check them out! And question to all! Besides pictures, what else can I send my SR, he says more pictures and more letters, but I was wondering if I could send him anything else?? Like cards I will look into, anything else? I know sending some things are restricted, but I know if I can send my SR that will surely make his day (:

Hey everyone wanted to share...I was in Hallmark today and they have a section of cards called American Hero and I think I must have bought 10 different ones. They are SO awesome. You must check them out....I was crying while reading them and I had to give myself a minute before I could go to the register!!! They are so good!
