Julie -- congratulations! Just remember, it's not goodbye. It's just see you later. That helps me a little. Then, I cry a little... :)

Well ladies, we finally did it. And man, was it nice to see our sailors, or was it nice? Mine proposed to me in a hotel room. Not how he wanted to do it I guess, but still. I was also there with him at the airport (even though it took us two hours to find..) but that farewell was hard. I'm so glad they got communication.

I agree! So nice to talk to my girl at will!!! And she's not complaining about the 90 degree weather in SA either!!! :-)

Left my SA at GL at 6:10pm (eastern time), 45 trip through Chicago (no toll roads!), finally pulled in home at 12:06am.  She will do A School there for 3 - 5 weeks then she's off to Norfolk, VA on an aircraft carrier.  Will get to spend some Liberty time in October with her before she's off and running for the next 8 years.

MaddenMaiden -- I totally agree with you. This was actually a little worse because I had to put in the "brave face" for the others there. I failed at that, though.

Had a fantastic time with my daughter.

Kimmie, hopefully it won't. My sailor left this morning but I've talked to her several times, so it doesn't seem as bad!

I ditto what cluebee said...so bittersweet...:(   :)

It's all a blur, he was here and just like that he was gone!

Wasn't ready to feel like I did when he left for Basic. It was hard to say goodbye to him all over again.
