Hey everyone, it has been a while since I have been on-line. I have been out of town for 10 days. I missed the big call from my son, but he left a message. He sounded good

but disappointed that he didn't get to talk to me. Made me really sad!  I got home and had three letters. I was so excited!  First communication I have had.

He also said that the division had some issues and had to do a lot of IT.

He said he got a new bunkmate as his first got sent home because he was sick. Sounds like they are working well together. Please email me some of

your sons names. I would like to know if he has made friends with any of them.

He has passed all of his tests so far. THANK GOD!!! All the prayers are working! He says they get yelled at alot, but sometimes it is funny because

they just yell over everything. Says he has blended well and the RDCs don't

really know he is alive, Guess that is good!  Relieved we are starting to

at least get some info. He said they might be able to call in two weeks.

Let's all hope and pray they work together and don't get in trouble so we

can get another phone call!!

That's so Cool! That Great! I's still stunned over his call tonight! I'm so relieved he is so happy and enjoying everything he is doing! Looking forward to what's next...

My son's teeth were straight! I will ask for explanation.

Hey Dee! My husband knows your son! He sent back the questionare to me too and his answers are just like your son's lol

I think they pull the wisdom teeth out so they don't mess up the rest of their teeth (as in shifting) I know my husband's wisdom teeth was doing that to his bottoms, that's my guess, you can probably ask Arwen, or  JessicaB.

Thank you Nancy! and we are the only two from CA.

I GOT A LETTER TODAY!!! Just as I suspected, Thursday delivery. I'll tell you what he said then, I will send you a message.

He sent back one of the questionnaires I sent him. It was week 2 day 2. Why did it take sooo long to get to me? anyway, His job is a Stick. He has passed all his tests, (PT and swim) with flying colors! and they get IT'd almost every day! and about teamwork?, (at that point anyway) was non existent. He says they are getting better though. He said their first inspection did not go very good as a whole but, he didn't get any hits at all! He got 5/5!!! Thats my boy! He also said he was getting his wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow! What's with the NAVY and pulling wisdom teeth anyway? I say, "If it's not broke, don't fix it".  He says he loves the pictures of the family and the dogs, and when he opened the first  letter with pics, he shed some tears for a couple of minutes. (aaaaww! Mom Did TOO!!!) It really made him happy to be able to see the one's he loved, and he slept better, going to bed with an eased mind. Then he told me how much he loved me! I have such a great kid!! I am so proud!

I still don't know his buddy's names. I also found out today, he's written his grandma and grand pa and a good friend of the family. They called me today to tell me what he said.  All good stuff! He is thriving and proud of what he is accomplishing! I miss him! I wish I could give his a big squeeze!

Could someone please explain "Hits" in inspections? and WHY the NAVY needs to remove all these kids Wisdom teeth?

Thanks, Denise

hey Dee....I asked my son if he knew the guy from CA in the division and he told me last name.  My son is a recruit from WA but he is really from CA so I think our two are the only ones in the div from CA.  And both from SoCal, to boot! (no pun).  He sounded good but agreed they have had a few problems in the div but he is convinced they will all make it.  He thinks they are all great but really likes the recruits of the moms I am in touch with.  I am so happy for that.  Would you mind sending me a private message with your son's name?  I'll send back my son's name and my phone number.

Cheers....Nancy

Hi, Waiting....is your husband going to A school in Groton?  Because that is what my son is supposed to be doing.  I would like him to get to know your husband - he sounds like a wonderful guy and they could be going to Groton together.   I think my son is the RLPO for the division.  Would you ask your husband to introduce himself to him if he doesn't already know him?  I'm not sure whether you are comfortable sharing his name with me on this site.  If you are, let me know and I will tell my son to find him.  I haven't shared my son's name because I'm not sure whether he wants me to yet.
