Fabnoble- I can't imagine anyone snoring worse than my love!!!!! Hahaha I wonder if they have a snoring competition with each other?! Of course, I myself snore pretty darn loud :). I am sorry to hear of your sailors being so sick/injured but thankfully they are better and almost finished!!

Carolinagirl that is so weird because my son had the almost the same thing happen. He had was complaining of shin splints went to get checked and they found a stress fracture. He convinced them to forget about it and allow him to continue. I was told that it could be because they run in their boots. So sorry to hear about this. i TOO AM HAPPY TO HEAR ALL ARE DOING BETTER ILLNESS WISE. My son said he thought he was coming down with the Crud. He said there are a whole lot of germs going around. but can't wait for PIR . Hope to meet all of you. His little sisters are counting down the days till they get to see their big brother. They have been so lost without him. I hit the great open road on Tuesday the 29th

I'm so glad yours sons are better tmasters and fabnoble. I thought they were supposed to call if they were seriously ill. So much for that. My son informed me that he has stress fractures in both shins and is on limited duty. They told him he may get held back and he said no way. He'd do whatever it takes to get out of there. I guess it's much tougher than I ever imagined. Thank goodness they weren't there during the winter. Can't wait to ask my son about the snoring. We laugh because his dad is the worst. We compare him to Fred Flintstone. We've almost made it through and I know I couldn't have done it without this group. Looking forward to meeting all of you. :-)

fabnoble....my son mentioned someone in the beginning on the other side of the barracks that he said snored "ten time worse" than my husband. ha, ha! I wonder if he was talking about your son. lol!

tmasters: your son may not go into the gas chamber with how sick he has been. I'll keep my figners crossed for him :)

tmasters: thank you! I am flying on the 30th around 2 o'clock so I just hope the call comes before I get on the plane...If I'm on the plane he'll probably call his dad so I'm happy about that because his dad is a big reason he joined the Navy.

That "other guy" was my son. My son told me not to freak out :) He said he had a breathing tube and IV for 12 hours. Didn't say anything about snoring...haha..:) probably was too tired to notice :) man they have really been hit hard...last illness my son had 104 fever and rushed to the doc, then teeth pulling, now this. Holy cow!

fabnoble was your son in the hospital with mine? Or were they just the two with pnuemonia and on meds and bed rest? I just knew something was up when he didn't call after that wonderful letter I had received. Thank goodness they are all better!
