Got a wonderful 30 minute call today!!!!!!! I am glad you ladies did too and hope everyone who didn't will get theirs very soon :)! He sounded really good, in very high spirits and so excited! He was joking with a couple other guys in the background (one with a last name starting with M) teasing him about our conversation I think lol. Says they have a great division and everyone does IT together now so they can be a team no matter what and they have fun!

Just went back to look at pictures. #4 has the front row, also.....I'm so excited. They were part of navy history. This hasn't been done since 1917!

I'm not a computer whiz but please try to get to the link below if you've not seen it already.
Hoping you can just copy and paste. My son said their division was in the front row. In pictures 3 and 7 some of the recruits in the front row can be seen. Although they look different in uniform, hats and short hair, my husband and I are pretty sure my son is 7th from the end in picture 3. He told us to look for the goofy navy issued glasses. It could be just wishful thinking but we zoomed as much as we can. Let me know if anyone recognizes their guys.

I know fabnoble, I have been crying and feel very worried. It hard not to get emotional when you have no idea what is going on. His letter sounded so positive and he said he felt really ready for his test, and was excited for the weeks events. I just wish I knew that everything was alright. He told me last letter he put in for job change and was waiting to hear. I am so bummed out and have nervous stomache :( Hugs to you :) Hugs to all of you! :) Thanks for all the updates.

Got my call too....He still sounded sick with a very hoarse throat, but he said he felt OK. I guess they all got their orders and apparently you don't always get what they promise you at the recruiting office. My son is still in the same field but this field has 2 branch offs and he got the "other" one. He seems Ok with it.
Yeah....he told me division 233 was actually in the front center of the flag and that our local station WGN9 in Chicago was filming the event. I'm going to try to find some info on it.
I'm praying that everyone gets a call or a letter.

Well, I'm still waiting....but thinking maybe no call for me. :( Gosh, I sure hope everything is alright. I'm happy for everyone who got calls :)

Got my call too. He was relieved to finally be able to talk to his older sister today. He sounded great, and always has a planned agenda for the beginning of the last two calls. I know he wants to make sure all of the business portion of the call is taken care of before we run out of time...but so unlike the boy that left 6+ weeks ago. Organized...wow!! He thinks they may get one more call before the "passed BS 21" call.
They have BS 21 on the 28th. Gas chamber this coming Wednesday. All but one passed last weeks written test (but he is positive this person will pass the retake). And it sounds like they are done with the written tests. He said they have fire test next week, but its a hands on test.
Robsproudmom: My son is going to be doing Ceremonial Guard too. They leave Wednesday after graduation from what I can tell. He said there were three of them going thru that bc in DC. Gonna have to get on line and do some research about Ceremonial Guard. Let me know what you find out or know.
