My girlfriend is Ship 4 Div 292. Of course since she is female they are housed in different spots. I just got my third letter from her yesterday. Her first letter got to me the 22nd I believe. Got 2 calls so far. First call was the 16th, last call was on the 29th.
I'm real anxious to learn if she will get liberty that weekend as well. I hope when she finds out I get a call instead of having to wait extra days for a letter.
My son is in this same div and ship, I've gotten one letter so far and no phone calls, I'm hoping to get a letter today and maybe a phone call soon. In the letter that I got he sounded good and positive, I can't wait to see him at graduation.
my son is in this Div!!!! and I still dont know if hes grad n go either!!! I got a whole bunch of letters from him two weeks ago, and that was it! they hold them and send them all at once!! I also missed his phone call :( ,, I have his voicemail to listen too over and over!!
he seems to be doing ok,, they have a very large division,, 42 girls and 42 guys!!!!
I know my son will be staying in Great Lakes for his A school, Corpsman, so we'll be hanging out with him for the weekend after the graduation and seeing the sites of Chicago. Really looking forward to the meet and greet and graduation.
i know my son hasnt told me if hes grad n go yet either!!! I think if they are they leave on Saturday so thats good news, I booked hotel thru Sunday but can cancel if we need to before hand..
got another bunch of letters today,, they must send them out all at once!!! he said they will get another call soon,, said his div is doing real well,, getting along great!! says alot got sent home or held back because of different problems, but now they are all together and working as a team!
Good to hear from others on here. I was begining to think no one else was on. My son is supposed to be going to Nuke program. I think this week is the one where they get their "jobs". I read it on another group area of the week by week breakdown. I also saw on boot camp group a video showing what they are doing and their racks. It was a good video. If you get a chance, take a look at it. I hope they do get leave for weekend because my son's friends want to make the trip to see him before he gets too far away in SC. I hope to get to meet all of you that responded at the graduation to celebrate these brave kids accomplishments.
got another batch of letters yesterday!! says hes doing real well, had to do watch a couple of times , and div really pulling together as a team!! thats good news :) ,, he says they are down a few guys,, but all the girls made it!!! wtg girls! lol!! now they are studying for
battlestations and the gas chamber :( ,, next few weeks will be grueling ,, but almost over!!!!! yay!
My girl said the division passed Marlinspike in her last letter.

Still no call since the 29th. Got like 4 letters Since the start of the month though.
August 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th.
She said they were letting them write more often now. I'm expecting my next big one the 18th as she has more time to write on Sundays and the letter is longer. The others are shorter.
just wanted to let you all know that I recieved a letter from my son in this div, and he said hell week went just fine!! only got 3 hits~ compaired to other divs who did alot worse!!! they all worked together as ateam!!!!
got my phone call tonight!! and he said they start fire stations tomorrow!!!! and battlestations the week after!!!!
I got my phone call also, first one and my son sounded really upbeat and said everything is going good and hell week went really good and they have battle stations on Aug. 26th also told me that they are going to order there pictures this week. He also said that right after graduation he will be moving his thing over to where he will be living and going to A School in Great Lakes and that he may get to stay with us all weekend, I sure hope so. Can't wait to see him. I was so glad that I got to talk to him, made me feel alot better now that I have heard his voice.
