My son's PIR is 10/31/14. Would love to chat with other moms that have kids in Div 821.

Hi all, just wondered if any of you have made hotel reservations and where? I have been reading horror stories about the Ramada Inn, or any hotel on that street. Apparently it is not in such a good section of town. I was thinking the Quality Inn but that is on the same street, so now I am thinking maybe the Navy Lodge. What do you all think?
No phone calls or letters yet either, I am staying home today hoping the phone will ring!!

BTW, still no letters/calls my way, either. :( I know patience is a virtue, but I think I am getting ulcers over this waiting game. I am hoping after my first communication with him, it will get easier.

I read on a post someone's son had said he felt like a kid on Christmas morning when he got a letter from home. It made me all the more determined to keep up with my daily writing.

waaa! No letter, no phone call from my boy. I've written a letter a day. My husband say's it's too much but I feel like I must. Plus, it helps me not miss him so much. I really had hoped for a call on Sunday but ah well, patience be thy name. And I dont like it!

we got a total of 13 minutes to talk. I think he "forgot" my ssn again and needed to call me. Advice for future wives of sailors, make sure they don't know your SSN! lol. anyways, I can't wait for the letters to come in. he said no phone calls tomorrow, but hopefully Thursday! But its hard to tell. Very unpredictable!

LADIES! I got another phone call just a little while ago. Did anyone else? He told me there was a line forming up behind him so I don't know if any of them were your sons/husbands. I really hope they were! No letter once again for me. But I am all the way in Hawaii so it must take a few extra days. Plus he said he's a little backed up on sending his letters. Typical! hehe. Anyways, I hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend :)

Hi Everyone- Just joined and I don't know much. All I know is that I miss my son very much...as you all do. I'm really enjoying reading your posts. It makes me feel better knowing that I'm not in this boat alone.
