Hi everyone!  I've started a face book page for Logistic Specialists for those that would like to chit chat, ask questions, share experience and knowledge of the Navy, cry, laugh, and even brag a little!  My daughter has been in Meridian for almost 2 weeks and it would be great to have input on what to expect.  I'm sure I'm not the only one with questions and who knows I might even have an answer or two.  We can all learn together!  If you are a family member of an LS I would love for you to join our page!  On facebook search for Logistic Specialist Navy Family Page - you will have to request to join because it is a closed group and we follow OPSEC rules to keep our SR's/Sailors safe.  Have a great day everyone!

My daughter was in Meridian - she was on hold 2 weeks before classes started, finished LS classes in 4 weeks and was on hold another 4 weeks before leave.  She earned her "green dot" to be able to go off base after about 3 weeks.

Good morning!!  My daughter will PIR 8/23/13.  She's requesting that I try to find out information about LS A School in Meridian.  Is there anybody out there that knows or is there a face book page I can join where there's a little more activity than here?  Thanks for any info.

Can my daughter take any personal items to A school - like clothes, etc.  Like maybe I can give them to her at the airport after BC or do I HAVE to mail them?

Found out today that my son, who has been undesignated and in the fleet since last October - will be an LS starting next month.  Woo hoo!  He is on a destroyer based in San Diego.  Any words of advice for him?

My LS1 has been to VA, TX, Japan, WA, and now we're here in Great Lakes.  We've been along for the ride since the beginning in VA!

My son graduated on Wednesday. He thought he would go on leave but now has to go to Gulfport for live ordinance disposition training.
