We leave on Sunday for our son's PIR which will be on Wednesday. So excited to go through this a second time. We anticipate cold weather in the Chicago area but are hoping for no snow. On a side note - Darsete, Andrew wanted Jim to know that he is unsure what he recieved but not only did he pass his live fire but he earned either his expert or sharpshooter award. A big thanks to Jim for his help. Hugs and to our sun child too.

I lived in Chicago so be sure and wear hat, gloves, and scarf. The wind can cut right thru you! Once you are inside (depending on where it is) basically long sleeves, slacks or dresses/tights/boots.

Hi everybody. I'm still here. My recruit had battlestations last night and waiting for the "I'm a Sailor" call; then graduation next week. Sorry I missed the lunch and hopefully will be able to make the next one. It sounds like everyone had a good time. :-)
