Anyone on here from Cherokee or York counties
Welcome, SCNavyMom. I am in Charleston so if you ever need anything, just letg me know. You will love PIR. Did you find anyone on this site that is in division 906?
Hi everyone,
I'm new to this group and our son left for BC on 10/23; his expected PIR date is 12/28, he is in Division 906. We have received 2 calls from him so far, but no letter as there processing week was pushed back for some reason. He will be going to Goose Creek, A school, afterwards. Our daughter is in her third year at College of Charelston, voice major. We're blessed that we're only 70 miles from the school. I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong.
annm, congrats on being principal. That's what my daughter is planning to go to school for once she finishes this degree. She majored in Dance Education at Winthrop and then the governor took away the majority of the arts positions, so she is working on her master's in Elementary Education now so she can get some experience before working on a degree in school administration. She is crazy smart and loves school.
Heather, sorry you missed your call. He would have called back quickly if it was bad or anything was wrong. No news is good news.
Plotholsen, welcome to the group! My son has only been in a year; he had delayed enlistment for 6 months before he went to Great Lakes. He is a corpsman currently in Okinawa, Japan.
What part of the state are you from? I seem to be the only one on here from the Upstate area.
Hi to all...
I am new to the group, but not the Navy. My father served 22+ years and I am looking forward to my son joining. He is currently a senior and is completing his packet as we speak. Excited for him beginning a new path and glad you all are here! :)P
